6sense Review: Advertising as Part of an Intent-First Platform

6sense built its category leadership on predictive intent scoring and account identification, not paid media. Its advertising module is real, but it's a feature inside a much bigger identification platform — worth understanding clearly before you evaluate it as an execution tool on its own terms.

What 6sense does

6sense's core product is a predictive intent engine: it combines a proprietary intent data network, IP-based and cookie-based identification, and a predictive AI model to score which accounts in a company's total addressable market are showing buying signals, and where each account sits in a modeled buying stage. That's the product 6sense is best known for, and it's what most of its enterprise contracts are actually built around.

6sense Advertising sits on top of that identification core. It lets a team push a scored account list into managed programmatic display campaigns, and in some packages LinkedIn campaigns via integration, plus CTV in certain tiers. The advertising module consumes the platform's own intent scoring to prioritize which accounts get ad spend first, which is a genuine advantage if you're already using 6sense for identification — you're not passing a list between two separate vendors.

Pricing model

6sense does not publish list pricing. Every deal is quoted based on target account volume, modules selected (identification-only vs. identification plus advertising plus orchestration), and contract length. Expect a multi-stage enterprise sales process and an annual commitment; this is standard for the category, not a red flag specific to 6sense.

Strengths

What reviewers and buyers consistently praise

  • Depth of predictive intent scoring and account identification — this is the strongest part of the product by design
  • Advertising spend is automatically prioritized by the platform's own intent signal, without needing to hand off a list to a separate execution vendor
  • Strong G2 review volume and consistent category-leader recognition in account-based marketing and sales intelligence categories
  • Single vendor covers both identification and a baseline advertising execution, reducing stack complexity for teams that want one contract

What reviewers and buyers consistently flag

  • Advertising channel breadth is narrower than purpose-built execution platforms — primarily programmatic display, with LinkedIn via integration and CTV in some packages, versus the 8-channel coverage of dedicated execution tools
  • Implementation timelines commonly run 6-12 weeks for full deployment, longer than lighter execution-first tools
  • No published pricing, so budgeting requires a sales conversation before you get a real number
  • Advertising is a secondary product line relative to the identification core, and channel-specific creative tooling is generally less developed than in execution-first platforms

Where 6sense fits well

Enterprise revenue teams that have no existing intent data source and want identification, scoring, and a baseline advertising capability in a single annual contract. If the primary unmet need is "which accounts should we be targeting at all," 6sense's identification depth solves that first and gives you somewhere to point a first advertising budget without adding a second vendor immediately.

Where 6sense is a weaker fit

Teams whose primary need is broad, deep advertising execution — many channels, heavy creative testing, ChatGPT Ads or other newer surfaces — will find 6sense's advertising module narrower than a purpose-built execution platform. Teams that already have an intent data source (their own CRM signal, a data provider, or sales team judgment) and just need execution are usually better served by an execution-first tool that puts more engineering effort into channel breadth and creative tooling specifically, since that's not where 6sense's product investment is concentrated.

Best-fit customer profile

Enterprise B2B teams standardizing account identification and a baseline advertising motion under one vendor and one contract, particularly those without an existing intent data source and with budget and headcount for a multi-month implementation.
